Salmon with Sriracha

INGREDIENTS


  • 2 salmon fillets

  • Salt to taste

  • Black pepper to taste

  • 4 tablespoon mayonnaise

  • 3 tablespoons Sriracha sauce

  • 1 lemon

  • Parsley for decorating

DIRECTIONS


  1. Rinse the salmon fillets in cold water and pat them dry.

  2. Place the salmon fillets skin side down in a microwave-safe container.

  3. Season the salmon fillets with salt and pepper.

  4. In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise with Sriracha sauce.

  5. Spread the mayonnaise mixture on top of both salmon fillets.

  6. Cut the lemon into wedges and place them around the salmon fillets.

  7. Add parsley as decoration.

  8. Cover the microwave-safe container with plastic wrap and microwave for 6 minutes.

  9. If the fish can be flaked easily with a fork, its ready. If not, microwave in increments of 30 seconds, checking between each, until the fish can be easily flaked with a fork.

Sriracha is a chili sauce named after the coastal city of Si Racha in eastern Thailand. It is made from chili peppers, distilled vinegar, garlic, sugar and salt. There are several different commercial manufacturers of Sriracha sauce, each with their own take on this traditional recipe.
